From what I've heard, Cadillac and Buick do very well in China but other than that in Europe no one considers Cadillac's a competitor for the Germans. At least the STS and the XLR were an attempt that was semi-competitive when it first came on the market. I'm talking more along the lines of the DTS and SRX.
