Haha...it was just a matter of time before one of you guys spat this redneck anthem loud and proud...you are just the perfect example of "that guy."
Thank you for giving me a chuckle!
lol
Defend as you will, but you're all wrong.....firstly, you guys are comparing apples to oranges.
The 2JZ is a stock iron block engine...the LSX is an iron block
aftermarket racing engine.
Not really fair.
Then I can just trump your aftermarket LSX with a stroked 3.8L 2JZ and all bets are off.
Now, back to the original debate: LS1/2/3 vs 2JZ.
With regards to an LS1,2,3,etc.....an alloy block is no comparison to an iron block when boost is concerned...thus the 2JZ wins every time.
Sure...an LS1 stock bottom end can maybe run 600-700hp on race gas, but not more than once or twice before disaster.
I've seen countless Supras run 1000+hp on stock bottom ends over and over and over....then are daily driven and taken to the grocery store.
I know it's hard for a lot of dumbestic folks to see past the American flag hanging in front of the eyes, so my replies and energy, I'm sure, is totally wasted here. Not sure why I bother...
No, the 2JZ is not the best motor out there, I'm not saying it is....but...
the LSX doesn't even compare.
You have to get a new block from Chevy and aftermarket heads to make some real power, where the 2JZ makes over 1500hp on the stock block and stock ported head.
I haven't even mentioned that the Supras are doing that on the stock rear end and tranny too!!!!
How many LS-based cars are doing that?
And don't even get me started on that suspension.
I bet you guys didn't know the 2JZ also holds the record for the standing mile also...

funny...I don't see any LSX streetcars doin that!
WTF???
MAN you guys are easy to annoy.
That's why this is so much fun for me!
...and there IS replacement for displacement...
w00t.
I rest my case.
