Blue flames would make me think of some artificial setup (like spark plug in the exhaust).
I used to own a Lotus Elise (Mk. I), that spit out pretty huge flames due to very aggressive camshafts (286 degrees duration, so lots of overlap from inlet and exhaust cam). None of them were blue.... all orange.
