Unless you are playing on a console, thus far, there aren't ANY drawbacks. The beta is rough, but it's a beta, and if you expect anything out of a beta other than testing ideas on a larger scale....

The PC outperforms the consoles, but in sales it is a different story. On each new COD game the console outsold the PC by high percentages and the gap got larger with each new version. If I remember correctly COD:BO sold 96% console to 4% PC.
If they really planned on dethroning COD, they should have built it around the consoles, not the PC. Just saying, if that was their real intention.

Call of Duty is a joke, and has been since World at War. They've released what amounts to the same game virtually about 5 times since Modern Warfare 1 with very little in terms of advancement and/or better game play. In fact, World at War was basically COD: Modern Warfare reskinned as WW2.... which was a cheap way of scamming diehard fans out of $50. To make matters worse, most COD players are predominantly playing the zombie mods more than anything else.
Also, the huge gap in PC sales can be explained away simply by one item....dedicated servers. Activision dropped that feature in Modern Warfare 2 and in Black Ops. This pretty much killed the PC guys off, which is why most of them are not buying the games...I know I didn't.
Supposedly they are re-adding the feature for Modern Warfare 3, but the damage is done and I for one will never buy another COD game again. Besides, the only reason we were playing COD in the first place was because every one was tired of the laggy titan maps in BF2142.

It's a beta. It's a beta. It has quirks and not everything is customizable in it.

2: Seriously? I can only access the options menu when I SPAWN IN? Not in the loadout screen or throught the browser?

It's a beta. Not everything is setup as it will be.

I do agree, but it may be more related to being a downloaded game through Origin. However, I don't expect the actual game to do it.

4: Why do I have to watch 10 seconds of kill cam on the guy that killed me? I want to spend my time waiting to respawn changing my loadout and stuff, not watching the guy that killed me till I can respawn and THEN changing. It sounds like a minor gripe, but it can add an extra 10-15 seconds to your spawn, which is HUGE in a squad based FPS.

It's a beta.

These are all things that will be killed off by the dedicated servers as well as being customized by the various clans who run the servers. They're just settings that can be enabled or disabled. I can guarantee the killcams will get turned off by a lot of people, but since there is general game play and hardcore, the hardcore servers will almost guaranteed be anti killcam.

I personally have been a BF player since it came out back in BF1942, and will continue to play their games. They always put out a great game, even with the bugs, and I have spent thousands of hours playing just their game series.
For any console vs. PC arguments.....there isn't any... PC dominates all when it comes to actual game play and performance. However, because it's easier to develop content for one hardware build, that's what they're doing. They are taking the "easy" way out. The irony of course is the game gets designed on a PC, get's fleshed out on a PC, and then they port it to a console....and then the PC's get the console version.....pretty lame if you ask me..
