I read this thread as far as this post. I couldn't agree more. If it comes down to 4cylinders in a camaro then just stop making it...its a disgrace to the camaro name...what's next? fart cans and type R stickers? Save the 4 cylinder for the cobalt or whatever little pos you want...if that's not an option then don't make camaros...unfortunately there seems to be so many people that own 5th gens who would never consider a gm product until the camaro came back out. In my opinion your a fake...you saw transformers and said hey I want one and have probably never had any interest in the previous generation camaro or gm. So those people won't care if it has a briggs and stratton lawn mower engine...why would you care? You never cared about the camaro before so why care about the future of it? Sorry if I came across as a dick..its just how I feel. Everybody I knew with 4th gens bought those cars because they were genuinely into muscle cars...trust me if you owned a 4th gen you know there nothing special...you sacrificed ride quality, visibility, leaky t tops, crappy window motors etc... You made these sacrifices because of the power and feel of the car. People who would never make those sacrifices are now buying 5th gens because they look cool. The truth is if gm put an ls3 into an aveo I would buy it due to performance only. Okay sorry guys...I know not all fifth gen owners are like that but the majority I meet this is the impression I get.
