Nice. I had an '01 Corvette and loved it. Some tips; You may experience the turn signals not working, but the 4 ways are fine. There is a flash bypass relay (aftermarket) that is plug and play that can fix that. The vette forums have the link. I say this cause the fix at a chevy service dept calls for yanking the dash to fix it! This mod you just have to take the lower steering column cover off, locate the wiring harness and plug the relay in. Easy fix.

Next, pop the hood and check the 'udders'. on the driver side just below the windshield, reach under the cowl housing and you'll feel (I think 2 of them) the udders. These allow water to drain out of the cowl area. They are notorious for filling up with leaves and won't let the water out. Bad thing with this is your wiper motor is in this area (you can't see it) and it will end up sitting in water and burn out. They are on the passenger side too.

I was told to check under the battery to see if there is any damage. I don't really know what I was looking for then someone told me about wet cell vs. dry cell batteries. Battery acid will eat fiberglass is the point. I got a Optima Red Top dry cell. No worries.

Watch your coolant resevoir for dry rot around the bottom hose. It looks like the original is still in there. Not just the hose, but the outlet can get brittle. Plastic + heat + age. You can get a leak there and look for days where it's coming from!

Is your oil pressure guage reading accurately? The sending unit's do go bad and it requires taking the intake off to get to it! However, there is a mod to that that will relocate the sending unit (no altering the location) so it's accessible by just lifting the hood and it's right next to the driver's side engine cover. Even comes with an inline guage to get an accuate reading.

Look up under the front end of the car. You'll see the radiator and the plastic around it that guides the air in. Lot's of debris gets trapped up in there.

Find a service manual set. I still haven't seen a chilton's or Haynes manual for these yet!

These are fun cars to drive.
