even a 9mm hollow point might go straight through because they are so screaming fast. especially +P ammo. Slower heavier .45 or 40 would be best. Kimber ultra carry II, compact, .45 but a good kick. Couldn't afford that so I got a Taurus PT1911 instead. Great gun for half the price just not so compact.
