When you are at speed reverse is locked out, when you are at a stop going to reverse while trying to go to first is more probable.
I guess I am the only one that would love a 7 speed. Every once in a while when I'm cruising at above 85 mph in sixth I try to shift up to the next gear, also a really short first gear would be awesome for getting out of the hole at the track. A 7 speed could solve both these problems.
