Exactly. If I remember right...Porsche or one of the other big European names said they were going to not use Dual Clutches quite as often because they're so expensive to make them stand up to the torque their high-end models make.
And that's not talking about the difficulties these transmissions tend to have at low speeds because they can't feather their clutches very well, and they lack a torque converter.
Don't get me wrong - I think they're awesome!! But it seems they aren't the be-all, end-all transmission of the future, just yet...
