if its a crate motor it should be just fine. a few years in a junk yard wont hurt it. as long as it hasnt gotten rained on, just use it. there should be assembly lube in it.
pre oil it with a drill and turn it over as few times. then start it.
if it makes you feel better put a teaspoon of oil in each cylinder and turn it over with the starter.
