Oh they were functional all right. By the numbers they were pretty good and had a number of handy features.
Buuuuut the Asstek is the definition of hideous automotive design. Despite being out of production since 2005, new ones were still sold in 2007. I would shoot myself if I worked at a dealership with an Aztek on the lot for 2 years.
