I think it depends on the individual. My first car was a 69 Firebird 400 with well over 350 HP and I had just turned 16. If you are taught to respect speed there usually is not a problem… What’s hard for me to believe is that the average 16 year old is going to be able to afford the insurance let alone the payment…
