Same reason you cant have more than 5" bra on top of your windshield, the driver and pass side windows cant be more than 5% tint here in LA? And the no. 1 reason? They can make money on it by stopping ppl from having them at nightt. Now if they made ACTUAL GLOW IN THE DARK rims, that might be legal.
