My 360 has held up good so far. It's a Halo edition. I remember researching at the time when I was gonna buy one about all the different revisions and what to look for. Mine has a big heat sink and a large copper heat pipe. So I think between that and the fact that I don't use it as much as my ps3 (mainly because everyone I know has ps3) I think it will last forever. Only thing that sucks is it's only 20gigs and that filled up fast. I wanted the elites HD but those were dying left and right at the time.
I would love the new Gears 3 console if this ever shat out.
