Are you all talkin' 'bout one of those what I'd call kid movies that rely on special effects? The absence of any meaningful storyline is purposefully done to render these movies accessible to a global market (there are big profits to be garnered there) where English is either poorly spoken or not spoken at all and where the audience's reading skills in their own language are so rudimentary they are unable to follow subtitles at the spoken speed.
Believe it or not, there some Americans whose reading skills in their own language is likewise so deficient they cannot read as fast as words are spoken.
You prefer story to special effects, don't you?
