but that lends to the problem of them getting more air time. for every college dorm watching it to "make fun of it", they get more ratings which tells them that people are watching it.

same thing with American Idol, you start watching it to make fun of the people trying to win and they show the most outlandish singers on there because people will watch train wrecks till there are no more trains.
