On one hand... I grabbed an estimate from one online site and it was $1385 below Edmunds, and $2415 below KBB (which is bogus because it rates high anyway). The nearest Carmax is almost 100 miles away... kinda far just to go see what they would offer.
On the other hand... not having all the hassle of selling it myself is worth something. Although, more than 1K seems like a big chunk to pay for that.
Was just wondering if any of the gang had any "how best to sell a car" wisdom.

To me the only time it might be advantageous to sell to a dealer is when you are trading a car in on another car. That way, you also save the sales tax on the trade in value, so you are getting an extra 7% (or whatever the sales tax is where you live).
If you aren't trading in, then it might be better to sell the car on your own. I haven't done that for quite a while, but advertising in the local newspaper might be a good place to start.
