I have just been a little preoccupied with work (lightning damaged my office LAN, printer, phones and laptop) and with my mom. So I just haven't been on the PC, though I still stay up as late as always and read through everyone's posts.
I had to forceably put my mom in the hospital for a psyc eval (dementia, she's 87 this week) and no sooner than we got her out, she put herself back in for chest pains. The CAT scan showed cancer... again. We will see how it goes. We have never been really close but it still wears on you to watch her go downhill. Going over to her house today to cook her some of my Italian Sausage spaghetti for her B'day. She has been begging for some of my cooking. AND it is great cooking by the way!

Sorry to hear about your Mom, this part of life is never easy.

BTW, did you know that there is scientific evidence proving the positive effects of Italian food on the human body and psyche? Pasta stimulates tons of endorphins (Dr Feel-Goods ). Yessirree, Pasta and Chocolate are slugging it out for first and second place as the best-loved, tastiest, best-for-you treat around.... (hmmm might be one or two other things but maybe now is not the time...)

So, eat lotso pasta and chase it with lotso chocolate, preferably Godiva. Mom'll feel better. So will you.

(hmmm maybe I'll make you a chocolate martini, yum yum. You'll like it Doc, it's like a liquid candy bar)
