Axel's surgery went better than expected
the tumor was only loosely attached to the muscle, and the vet didn't have to excise the fascia at all. Axel is home, and after a little battle getting him out of the SUV (he didn't want to jump down), is happy. My bank account is happy too - instead of the $980 I was originally quoted, it only cost me $430! WOOHOO!!!!!
Still have to wait 4 or 5 days for pathology tests, but I'm betting that it will all be fine.

I'm exhausted, and have to be at work at 7am tomorrow to move into our newly remodeled pharmacy, so I'm hittin the hay.... Nitey nite old farts!!!
