You guys have given me alot of insight about this. I am in the Army Reserves and have served in Operation Iraqi Freedom, 3 tours. One of the first things we were taught was the Rules of Engagement. Verbal commands, show of force and use of force. We were trained to kill and not to wound the enemy. I have 19 years in and have full comprehensive training in firearms. Semi auto to fully automatic machine guns.
The question is if the situation were to happen of my life or my childrens lives to be put in danger, how far would the situation escalate? As stated, kill them and we go to court, wound them and we go to court, let them take your car and you live to drive another day? I just hope it never happens. Nebraska isn't a very high crime state where I live. For now, my firearm is at home.
