depends on which vaccine you get...FluMist (influenza vaccine) is a nasal administered vaccine that is attenuated live...so you should add that one to the list...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FluMist

and my pharmacy currently has the 2011-12 vaccine in stock and we are giving it to people who want it

and really there isn't a flu "season" so to speak...infections usually peak around Feb in the US but can vary....you can get the flu anytime of the year...although there is some debate as to whether or not you will be protected through the peak of the "season" if you get vaccinated early...current recommendations say to get vaccinated as soon as it becomes available (which usually had been in October in previous years) but came much earlier this year...

Also, if anyone is on here, and is over the age 65 there is a special high-dose flu vaccine just approved this year so make sure to ask for it when you get vaccinated....
