It seems to me that no-one would feel very upset at a perpetrator's threat to car-jack your Camaro unless he threatened your life as in: "I've got a gun in my pocket get out of the car and leave it running!" You might follow his orders if it was you alone, but if your family is with you, call his bluff with your Glock 21 40 S&W! I suspect there are plenty of dead people who's final thoughts were, "He wouldn't really shoot me, would he?"
