Warranty, schmarranty. I'm gonna void that warranty faster than virgins disappearing on prom night .

The other dealer was relatively new and said they would take a $10K deposit to get me on their list. Since then, I've soured on the idea of buying a Ferrari due to the insane maintenance costs. My whole idea was to buy one from the dealer, drive it for a few months and sell it for a profit, which is very easy when no one else can get one. Even that sounded unappealing with the thought of each scheduled maintenance costing several thousand dollars.

Having said that, I think I f*cked up! Do want!
That high maintenance has got me leaning toward a Gallardo. Back since Audi took over the bull the Lamborghini's have been much more worry free than the Lambos of old.

I'd definitely try to steer clear of an F430 that had the ceramic brake option. The upkeep is too high, it just isn't needed on a street car and I would never be doing any serious tracking in one anyway.

As for earning a spot to buy, that is not uncommon for Ferrari. I'm surprised you found a dealer that would get you in line for a first release. The economy must be even worse than I thought!
