there was a guy who came in during one of my trips and literally spent no more than 2 minutes in the store looking at the rings and said, I want that one...
I feel bad for him...lol

Whats not personal about it? The ring, altho an extension of your relationship also needs to reflect the wearer and if he gets a ring that isn't me or I hate thats not going to be bueno for the future. The ring i picked out is simple and antique things that reflect me and our relationship. We have been together for 5years, he picked my first ring, the sapphire, and i loved it. I think its ok that i have a little say in this ring.
