Okay..in defense of my import people, I feel like I must step in and educate some of you naysayers, and youngsters that hate on imports for no other reason but that they are not domestics.

Even on a FWD car, a mild spoiler can provide effective downforce at high speed and cornering.
Yes, I hate seeing huge spoilers on Civics as much as the next guy...and yes, probably 80% of production spoilers on cars sold in the world are for cosmetic purposes only.

No, a car does not need to be travelling at excessive speed for a spoiler to be functional.
Not sure where you got that from.

I have had this conversation so many times, I have a billion scientific resources supporting the aerodynamics of rear spoilers on FWD, AWD and RWD vehicles.
Would be glad to provide you guys with some links.

I get teased constantly about my giant shopping cart wing on the regular, but people generally stop laughing once they are riding shotgun with me at 180....and they feel how stable the car is.
The Supra spoiler provides 60lbs of downforce at 80MPH, and increases significantly after 100+MPH.....up to 200lbs at 150MPH!!!

Anyways...stop ragging on FWD cars with spoilers, cuz I know at least a few of you have owned a Focus or Escort at some point with a spoiler on it.
