Stieger, with all do respect, you are incorrect. Like Silverhawk said, each and every state has a law about exhaust. Some state you must have mufflers. Some might not. But, nearly all (if not all) DO have some sort of statute that says the noise decibel at a certain distance from the car must be below a certain level. Most officers don't mess with stuff like that. But, then you have your gung ho guys that all they want to do is write tickets. Why? I don't know...but they do.
OP, best thing to do is just either pay the ticket and don't mess with it, or get it fixed and go to any muffler shop and have a noise test done and signed off by the mechanic there at the shop saying how loud it is. that should solve that. And take off the tint and take a pic...ticket dismissed there...
and one more thing...if there is any cop bashing, believe me...it gets reported and I sure LOVE taking care of those posts. Wonder why....

Geez, lighten up man. Just fyi in the future, 90% of the time I am just fooling around, trying to make light of a situation. No, I didn't expect him to message me to mail him a copy of my receipt from Ohio, but he actually did, so I faxed it to him, and I sure hope his judge doesn't read this forum. Good Luck homie
