If not then the moon would have had to be introduced at a later time.
There are so many concepts about life and the way the Universe works it is hard to imagine God's master plan for the world and the Universe outside of the book of Genesis in the Holy Bible which I truly believe in faith. The moon has to be taken into account into this growing Earth theory and it really isn't. However it is interesting and no more credible than the currently accepted Pangaea and tectonic plates theory.

I've often contemplated that our solar system resembles an atom. With the sun as the nucleus and the planets being electrons. Or our earth as a nucleus and the moon as an electron while both combined connected to another object like the sun making up a larger molecule. This theory would either make our galaxy or our Earth a molecule and the universe would be something even greater in God's master plan, something we could not possible contemplate or grasp.

Just like we can't magnify molecules making them large enough to see details, we can't look out with even the largest telescopes and what the Universe is actually made of unless it gives off light. There could be liquid out there that does not give off light, we will never know... What we do know are that Comets are giant snowballs that if they land on a giant piece of rock like the moon, who's to say when the conditions are right that an atmosphere won't form on a lifeless ball of dust just because of one iceball comet? I believe in God and the Universe it too perfectly put together to be an accident. It is amazing that the more theories people come up with, the more questions get raised.. I just wonder why more and mroe scientists teach theory as if it was fact.. That is what upsets me..This growing Earth theory may or may not be partially true.. It is fun to discuss what we believe or not... It does make you think about things if nothing else..
