Paid Sponsors started well after there WERE cars to mod. And there were sponsors on the site back then. Who would have paid. Obviously Tran had a plan. Implemented it perfectly. Created a demand and almost had vendors knocking down his door to get on. And obviously it's a financial interest for him. I don't even think it's a stretch to realize he's not really into the car like we are.
BUT,,,,, I can say this... He really likes this community. It's just different than any other site. Hundreds of people on here from all across the country know each other on a personal level. Get together outside the boards and all. He's not going to let himself get beat up over money BUT he's gonna put the members above the money all day long.
I just know that he puts the members above the money most of the time.
