Now what

I will 'Believe it when i see it' that Ford can build a 3500lb car with 400/400.

If they could have, why wouldn't they have done that with the GT500?

Assuming they do come out with it, lets remember its Ford. So don't expect anything too amazing. It will likely out accelerate to 60 and through the 1/4 mile, but that's all the more reason for Chevy to start unleashing the real power of that big LS3.

However, (and this is why the Camaro will still win all the comparo's) life is not a drag strip. The Camaro will be a higher-quality more contemporary liveable car.

Ford's build quality wont go up with a bigger engine. If you managed to read the mustang vs. Camaro vs. Challenger comparison released yesterday, A big strike against the Ford was that it looked like it was built in a Chinese sweat shop by 12 year olds.

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."
