Did one, new, back in '96 (3"/3")...and NEVER got a highway-speed driveline vibration out of it... Tried shimming the rear axle, helped but didn't cure it. If it's your DD and sees the highway, be very careful.
As to "slammed" 4X4s, maybe at the fairgrounds but as DDs? No way...
