When my dad first immigrated, the first car he bought was an F-series, traded it for a Mustang-II, traded it for another F-series, started working for GM and traded the F-series for a C/K Pickup, bought a Chevette, traded the truck for an '89 GMC Safari SLT, traded the Chevette for a '93 Saturn SW2, bought his current Sonoma, traded the Safari for my current Envoy, and bought my mom's Malibu when the SW2 died.
Only import has been a Mercedes Benz S-Class in the 80s.
