You can be sure there will be rule changes to make the class more competitive, just like happened after the 2005 and 2006 seasons when the STi's finished 1-2 consecutively. In fact, didn't an Evo win the 2010 T2 championship followed by two BMW M cars. . . ?

The stock sti trans is good to 400awhp+/-, but 350awhp or less could easily put a T2 sti DEEP into the T1 time range. T2 STi's are making less than 240awhp. That's why your comparison is misleading. You're talking about how your supercharged, 550rwhp+ camaro with waayyy more modifications than you would be allowed if you raced in the T2 class, puts down T1 times in comparison to the sti T2 cars. A T2 STi with even a few power bolt ons and no restrictor would be perfectly capable of T1 times as well.
I understand your point about my highly modified street Camaro. That has to be moderated by three significant factors. First. T1 cars are stripped down. No HVAC, no interior, racing seat... 2nd T1 cars run on slicks and not street tires. Finally they are caged and triangulated. Our street cars are full interior, full amenity vehicles running on street tires.
