I agree with you about the overweight people that park in handicapped spots because they just don't FEEL like walking... but some people that size have ruined their body/joints or have other problems and CAN'T walk. They may even have gotten bigger from their inability to walk in the first place. don't be so quick to judge someone that size that parks there or needs a chair, they may not be ABLE to walk (at all or without extreme pain), even if they wanted to. If they park there and get out and walk just fine that's another story.
I would never and have never park in a handicapped spot. I use my dad's truck a lot and he has a handicapped parking permit in it, but I would never use that to park in a handicapped spot myself. Sometimes when me and my mom are out with him, we will just drop him off at the door and go park it in a normal spot.
