I understand your point and it is logical. My counter point is the drivers will be able to up the freight cost due to the increase in operations cost. Just like fuel surcharges. Should keep them in business.

Well, I'm assuming the cost of retreads is WAY cheaper than new tires, otherwiise why are they so popular. That cost difference could be devastating to a private driver I would think. Replacing tires i'm sure is quite a common occurence with all the miles they rack up and thus a very big expense.  |
