Some of these guys have contributed HEAVILY to this forum. If a post count is that intimidating to you then so be it. Kinda weird.
Use the 'One word guy' as an example. Well, if it's that hard to look over 'One word' then you must be doing it wrong.
So some of these guys have MUCH more contributions than you do, just have a high BS type post count also. What's the problem. DIY vids. Helpful threads, discussions on various topics, informative stuff that not all but MANY have found helpful. Does the need for you to control post count justify the loss of that helpful info?

Not really sure how you have annoyed me, I don't really recall any interaction with you?
A lot of you are taking this posting count disabling very personally and with a lot of sensitivity. I didn't realize a big number next to your name meant so much. Post count does not "intimidate" me, and I think it is a bit weird that you feel it does.
You are completely missing this point of this thread. Useful information is useful information. It doesn't matter how it is presented nor who presents it or why. There is no reward, there is no ranking. It is just people talking to people about issues.
So what you are saying is that you think people will post
less because it is disabled? People with knowledge won't share it? I'm not saying limit people how many posts they can make, I'm just saying don't track it with a number. I'm not doubting people have more contributions than me here. I have several memberships to actual tech sites where I have contributed for several years. Am I touting that over anyone here? no. So your comment is irrelevant.
Again, not sure why there is all the anger, hate, and disrespect for me making a suggestion. Isn't that what this entire site is supposed to be against? By you justifying that post count is relevant, you are basically saying that there is some heirarchy around here.
