Now, you say the finance person is your friend. Well I think he got caught up in trying to put together a good deal for you and wasn't paying enough attention to the little details of leased vehicles. That's his fault. But, it sounds like the Chevy dealership took an unexpected hit from Ford with your car, and they are "putting out the feelers" to see if they can manipulate you into changing your deal. If you choose to go to the meeting, then just be prepared to call their BS. If there is "fine print" in your existing contract, then take it with you and have one of your cousins look it over. Like others said, don't sign anything else until you have it checked. To me it just sounds like the dealership made a mistake and now they are in damage control. Just be careful, and I know the finance person is your friend, but don't trust him.
