On smaller tracks 4 seconds is big deal, on the Ring not so much IMHO. It is quite a long track. So the CTS-V is still quite a relevant car.
Besides Ring times are the ultimate in magazine racer bragging rights.
The vast majority of people will never run their car on the ring. Even if you are lucky enough to live in Europe and run out to the ring on a public day, I garauntee that the vast majority of those people won't even run a sub 9:00 minute lap time in their CTS-V or M5 or whatever.
But it looks like the M5 has the production sedan title for now...
