When cat owners realize there are too many cats at their house , they sometimes load the excess animals into the car, drive 'em to a distant neighborhood and ditch 'em there to become THAT neighborhood's burden.

I have seen a guy do this outside of our apt. complex! He dumped about eight or ten of 'em and was gone before I could do anything about it.

Within two generations of cats and kittens, these exiles have produced whole mobs of FERAL felines, yuck!
Not too many around here, coyotes get them. :(
