oh, and you shouldnt be able to shift into reverse when in motion going forward (esp at high speed), the synchros wont allow it. you'd bend the shifter before it let you put it into reverse. not suggesting you should test this however. |
i like sitting in my truck... then i remember it's a V6 (a stout truck V6, but 2 cylinders short nonetheless)
i know it won't let me do it.
the first time, i got a little past neutral & it stopped. about the only time it happens is when i've got the camaro or vette on my mind & i hear the engine hitting 2k. then i'll snap back to reality about the time i get the clutch in
i then *sigh*. don't worry... it ain't a common occurrence.
