Anyway, I'm thinking this sort of engine (at least early on) will be perfect for series hybrid cars like the Volt. Currently the prototypes only have a limited RPM range that they can opperate in, but thats fine if you've got a Volt. As engineers learn to expand the envelope, it could be adopted in parallel hybrids then regular cars & trucks
