The police dont have enough time or manpower to just stop people for no reason
I have no problem giving my id. Bottom line is the people against aren't really afraid of discrimination. They're afraid of more illegals being sent back.

The way I read it, officers will stop people if they seem to be illegal immigrants. If they are stopped for a violation and can't produce id, it's a different story.

Only time you can detain someone for suspicion of illegal immigration is within certain amount of miles from an international border (forgot the distance). Or an acting international border, such as an international airport.
Tell me, how are officers going to decide who "looks" like an illegal immigrant?

this is the spirit of the law.

That's a different story. That's not how I'm reading this.

Only thing I agree with you on.
But people say that is if it's so damn easy to just go get naturalized an become a citizen.
My uncle, who's father, mother, and all his sisters are U.S. Citizens, just now got his citizenship. AFTER 20+ YEARS OF WAIT. Only because he was not born on this side of the border like the rest of his family.
Tell me how fair that is? Entire families seperated for decades because of this.
The truth is if ICE doesn't change their citizenship proccess, illegal immigration is going to continue at a rapid pace. The problem needs to be fixed from the source.
