Though I have noticed the reference made to the Camaro a few times. It never bothered me. It's not like the Vette is officaily named C5 or C6.
But, to me C5 is Camaro5 first, Corvette second, and nothing after that.

When they were designing the 63, it was referred to as a "C2." It was code for "Chassis 2" because they were secretive even back then.
