Even though my company employs 10,000 worldwide and they are only doing a 200-300 cut, it sounds small when in reality with the exceptions of no production or maintenance people will be effected that only leaves engineering and staff.. which are not that many..(I estimate no more than 1500) so we are high on the list to get cut.
The decision on the cuts will happen sometime in the next 6 weeks, and they said that this situation is expected to continue through 2011... which means this may not be the last pay or job cuts we may see. So even if I can make it through this cut. I will still have to be wary until the turnaround occurs...
This is the second Camaro dream I have had to lose... I hope the opportunity comes along again some day. but I am not getting any younger...

One guy I worked with was in his late fifties and found a new job before I did, so while the age thing might be an issue it's not always a problem. Good luck, hang in there.

Let's think of this as a delay.
I'm hoping that the recession will be receding, and the Camaro supply will be ample late this year.
A new Camaro is a great way to celebrate new prosperity!
