I did a lot of ebay deals starting when I was 16. I auctioned raffle tickets for iPods at first, at 10 $ a ticket and when the auction ended randomly picked a name and sent it to them. I made about 800-1000 $ off each normal auction, and when something new came out (like the first iphone) I would pay a premium to buy one, sell the tickets for 20 $ and make a LOT off of them. I ran about 5 auctions a week, after about a year and a half though ebay decided to make raffles/sweepstakes illegal on their site and shut it down. Finally, when I was a junior in high school and the whole "swine flu" thing happened, I noticed everyone bought purell, the hand sanitizer. Took a huge risk, but had my dad invest 80 % of my money into Johnson and Johnson stock and sold at over 300 % profit 4 months later. I just don't want to spend that money while I thankfully don't have to yet, because my parents are more than able to support me throughout college and such and want me to have as much money as I can out of college so all my savings are in the bank with interest right now. They just make me pay for my insurance because of all my tickets. I also do a lot of landscaping during the summer, but try not to spend any of that money right now but a SS is tempting...
