Yeah, I didn't know that when I bought the car. This is the first Dodge product I've ever owned, and honestly didn't think I would ever like anything from Dodge. I always saw them as poor quality POS cars. I test drove this thing and fell in love with it. Mostly designed by Mercedes, so I guess that shows in the quality.
I almost bought a Camaro, but didn't like the interior. I'm hoping Chevy ups the ante there in future model years and the ZL1 has my attention.
I think for the money, the 5.0 Mustang is the car to beat. You get a ton of nice options for a good price and the aftermarket loves Mustangs. Magnuson has a blower they're prepping for it and it makes some silly power when coupled with a decent exhaust system. Apparently the cam profile in the car is wonky when it comes to boost and it needs the exhaust to help.
My only complaint about the Mustang is the back seat....might as well not have one really. I'm not a very big guy and I can't even sit back there. How am I supposed to get my cheer leaders to the track with me without a usable back seat?
