Correct, the SRT8 is the only true touring car of the bunch. Moves faster than the SS or GT, and everyday live-ability of a full size AMG touring car. Given the $7k difference between a SRT8 and equally optioned GT or SS, I would buy the SRT8 all day long.....
However, $7k is not an insignificant amount of money, so to each his own on this one.
