As far as the hard numbers such as the 0-60 and so on, are you going to be drag racing the car every day? Taking it to the track? For most buyers, the answer is likely no. The raw numbers may have it a tad slower than the Z, but for day to day use is still going to be plenty fast and corner very well...when comparing base to base, the Z is $5,000 more expensive, and loaded to loaded, the Z is about $7,500 more expensive. It's entirely your judgment call, as is your opinion on the styling and the feel of each car's drivability, but a lot of people are going to say it's not $5,000-$7,500 better. Some people would say $5,000 worth of mods would go a long way toward making a Genesis Coupe blow a stock base Z out of the water. And people who simply can't afford a $30K car may also say the Genesis Coupe will be just fine.
The people that think its not 5k better have never driven a Z.

Besides, like i said, id take the BASE Z over the top Genesis.

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."
