My wife has the 883L sportster. The ride is truly shocking. The first things you need to do are add a thicker padded seat if you're tall enough, or put a gel pad in there, and then look for some better springs. The 883 Low has four less coils than the stock sportster springs, which will bottom out pretty easy if you're heavier than 130lbs. Her bike, with its Vance and Hines straight thru pipes does sound better than my Triumph Thruxton though.
