SO, my workouts are still going very well. Strength continues to increase, although not as rapidly as when I'm just eating tons of carbs, but that's OK.
However, I seem to stuck in the 9% range. The one week at 10% I'm throwing out. I was on a company paid vacation and they put beer in my face every time I turned around. I still hit the gym at the resort though, but eating and everything else was out of routine.
I may need to push the carbs up a bit higher on carb days and a bit lower on no carb days to get in to the 8% range. My goal is gonna be 6%.
Talked to one of the pros at the gym this morning about being stuck at 9% and he said the lower you go the harder it is. Your body doesn't want to be that low and you have to keep adjusting things to push it in to the area you want.
He's been doing KETO (under 50 carbs daily) for the past two weeks and has two more weeks to go before he starts carb pulsing. He said it's a balancing act between cutting fat and keeping your muscles from looking flat. I may get to KETO down the road if I have to, but I hope not because it sucks.
Workout today went like this:
Incline Dumb Bell - 85/85/85 - 9/8/7
Flat Dumb Bell - 75/75/75 - 8/8/8
Cable Fly - 35/35/35 - 8/7/6 (This is a heavy 35...not like a normal machine...felt like 70)
Incline Dumb Bell Hammer Curl - 40/40/40 - 9/8/8
Incline Dumb Bell Curl - 40/40/40 - 8/8/8
Cable Finishing Curl - 20/20/20/20/20 - 10/10/10/10/10
35 mins HIIT treadmill (mixing up the cardio from LIIT to HIIT)
In a couple of weeks I'll be temporarily living next door to my gym...I mean literally next door. I'll be able to walk to the gym which will be awesome while it lasts. I'll be there for the entire summer so I plan to switch my workout to a one body part per day schedule so I can just hammer on it. We'll see what happens, but I plan to be ripped.
Ah the joys of selling houses and having new ones built, moving twice, and storage units.
