My wife and I were with our friend and her husband in the hospital. He had fallen very ill and was on life support. We waited for several hours while the wife and daughter mourned, watching their dad/husband pass on.
I had never seen someone die before, and it was an amazing experience. There was a lot of emotion in the room, and at first I was just completely weird-ed out.
There had been lots of drama in the life of this family, and it had all come to form in that hospital room. The mother and daughter had a certain perception of "how he was" but my perception was different....
On the way home, my wife and I talked about what we had experienced, and the overall feeling in the room. I told her that I heard him talking, right when he took his last breath. My wife said she did too... We both heard him say "I am sorry for leaving you". And we both felt an incredible amount of regret (from him) because of all the drama that had been happening in their lives.
I KNOW it was him, and there's no way to prove it...
